In 2002, Charlie O’Sullivan designed a directory, which provided safe and easy access to web-based resources for his students, their parents and his teaching peers. The site immediately became very popular with other teachers because if its simple and uncluttered interface and because it makes sense in the primary school environment. It is unique in that it categorises web-based resources using a hierarchical structure based on the primary school curriculum and provides professional development for teachers by demonstrating ways of integrating ICT in the classroom. The site is also used by students, parents, home schoolers and student teachers undertaking tertiary study in education.
PrimarySchool.com.au currently averages 40,000 hits and 600 new visitors per day and there are currently 13,500 subscribers to the free weekly newsletter.

Fantastic Site. I am a casual teacher. I could be ask to teach Life Cycles to year 3 one week and a Unit on Gold to Year 5 the next week and so on. I find your site invaluable for resources. I can't afford to have resources for every topic for every stage. As a casual I have limited access to in-service training so your site helps keep me up to date.

I think your site is fantastic. As a trainee teacher this site has been so helpful, in so many ways. Not only does it help with my university assignments, but also my Practicum. I look at what the teachers are doing in the schools I am placed with; then my first port-of-call is this website. I can look up specific KLAs, then search through to find information relating to the Unit the school is working on. The links provided can either give me a starting point, or assist in developing Units to provide more strategies for the children. Also, having 2 children of my own, I have used this site to assist with their projects, even though they are in Year 7 and 9. I wish I had known about this site when they were in Primary school.

Text Advertising – Text ads appear as other links in the database according to their relevance to the primary school curriculum. A text ad for Geometry software, for example, would appear on the Geometry page under the Software heading as:
